That said, recent studies suggest that unfinished wood surfaces (like these boards) are actually the best at preventing and killing bacterial growth.
If you’re still fond of some type of finish, I like using a blend of 4 parts mineral oil to one part beeswax. It’s natural and completely food safe. Just wipe on, let it soak for a few minutes, and wipe off.
